One of the largest women and children fashion boutiques in the centre of Salerno
We had to merge a new site of 200 square meters to the existing store. Whilst the new store had already been previously renovated, the challenge was to marry the two stores into one.
We used a series of arches that provided a gateway from one space to another. The use of colours on the arches such as a darker colour on the surface walls and a lighter colour within the arches provided a positive contrast increasing the perception of space.
Fixtures and fittings were custom designed, with the use of iron as the main protagonist. In fact, sheets of metal simply bolted to the wall created shelving.
With the inclusion of key fixtures in solid wood, this created an environment of hot (wood) and cold (iron & steel). Old deposit containers out of wood were used due to their warm character and the main sales counter was painted gold for glamour.
The store has various levels and all connected by a very wide staircase and with large glass chandeliers reflecting on the iron and steel fixtures, lighting was enhanced.
