Restorations to the interior of the Santa Barbara church included such aspects as the restoration of the wooden choir stalls, repairs to the main altar by the use of colored marble, restoration of the side altars, restoration of stone elements (baptismal font, holy water fonts and columns) and the replacement of the floor using gray Bardiglio Imperial marble.
Works carried out to the bell tower of the church consisted of restoration and repairs to the walls and ceilings. Restorations to the walls included cleaning the stone bricks and re-plastering. Repairs to the ceilings were made possible through the recovery of chestnut beams. The intermediate floors were reinforced with beams, cast in concrete, and fixed to the perimeter walls using corrugated steel clamps.
